Always a staple in the Special Releases range, the unpeated bottling of Caol Ila has reached 17 years of age. Wispy smoke combines gingerbread, sweet-cured meat, and smoked fish with a refreshing lemony note.

Nose: Toffees. Allspice, brown sugar, a touch of anise, Cinnamon Grahams and even a hint of chilli.

Palate: Tangy toffee, a little chalk and increasingly charred oak spice with hints of smoke.

Finish: Smoky

Overall: The smokiest unpeated release for many years, with plenty of bourbon cask character.
